Privacy Policy

Who we are

Livelyyou is run by Prashant Shaw, based in India. We publish science-based digital guides, a blog, and a small number of mobile games. We are the controller for the personal data described below, and you can reach us at livelyyou.fit@gmail.com.

This policy covers the livelyyou.fit website. Our Android game HOTWIRE collects different things and has its own policy: the HOTWIRE privacy policy.

What we collect

When you buy a guide. At checkout you give us an email address. Once the payment completes we store a record of the order: the email you entered, which guide or guides you bought, the amount and currency, the Razorpay order and payment references, whether the payment succeeded, and when it happened.

We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details. Those go straight to Razorpay, our payment processor, and are handled under Razorpay's own policy.

When you browse. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful. It sets cookies in your browser and records the pages you view, roughly where you are (derived from your IP address, not precise location), your device and browser, and how you arrived at the site. On the guide pages it also records checkout steps and completed purchases, including the order reference and the amount, so we can tell which pages lead to sales.

Stored in your browser, not sent to us. Your cart (a list of guide names) and your light or dark theme preference live in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device, we cannot read them, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Server logs. As with any website, our host records requests, including IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.

How we use it

• To take payment and deliver the guide you bought
• To email you the download link, and to help you if something goes wrong with an order
• To keep the records we need for accounting and tax
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages and guides are working
• To keep the site secure and to detect abuse

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send you marketing email unless you ask us to.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of services to run the site. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

• Razorpay, to take payments (razorpay.com/privacy)
• Supabase, which hosts the database holding order records
• Resend, which sends your download link and order emails
• Google Analytics, for website measurement (policies.google.com/privacy)
• Our hosting provider, which serves the site and keeps request logs

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and similar) to tell repeat visits apart. Razorpay may set its own during checkout. We run no advertising cookies and no ad networks on this website.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics everywhere, Google offers a browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How long we keep it

Order records, including the email address you gave us, are kept for as long as we need them to support the purchase and to meet accounting and tax obligations. Analytics data is retained according to the setting on our Google Analytics property and Google's own policies.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email livelyyou.fit@gmail.com and we will act on it. Since the only thing we hold is your order record, that is usually a short conversation.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland. Our basis for handling your order data is performance of the contract (delivering what you bought) and our legal obligations (accounting). For analytics, the basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are in California or another US state with a privacy law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Children

This site is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
